Presentation of the project eHealth Eurocampus Summer School and workshop of validation of a case study of the project in Campus Docent.
On December 11th, three professors from the SJD Campus Docent involved in the project eHealth Eurocampus Summer School, Maria Figueras, Ariadna Graells and Esther Insa, presented the project in a session addressed to teaching nurses and organized for the first time in collaboration of two commissions: The Innovation and Teaching Commission and the Research Unit of Campus Docent.
The session consisted of two parts, an explanatory part to contextualise the project and describe its degree of implementation and a second where a workshop was carried out using simulation methodology. The session included more than twenty attendees.
The workshop sought to validate a case study to be used in the next Summer School (Barcelona, 2019) as a teaching tool. The case study, related with the topic of technological prescription, pursued the following objectives: a) share the challenges that technological development poses to health professionals, b) highlight some of the existing gaps generated by technology in the training of future healthcare professionals and c) provide tools that allow improving the transversal competences of teachers as members of interdisciplinary teams.
The active participation of the attendees revealed the need to manage the change generated by technology, both from an individual level and from the nursing and teaching collective, to work on communication and teamwork skills in interdisciplinary health environments, and to regulate the technological prescription to ensure the safety of patients and professionals.

“I found it to be a very interesting dynamic, since it reveals some of the shortcomings and questions about the daily life of the nursing profession. Among other issues, it allowed us to consider whether we are sufficiently trained to apply technology to nursing care and if we can work in parallel with other specialist professionals in this field”
“Thanks to the visualization of the video and the simulation carried out by the speakers, a discussion space was created that reaffirmed the need for multidisciplinary work to be able to respond to the new demands of society.”
“I especially liked this seminar because it raises issues of healthcare practice that are often overlooked. We live in a society where technology is part of the daily lives of nurses and patients; therefore, it is essential that as health professionals we train in the approach of situations like the one exposed and that we are active elements in the creation and use of technological applications aimed at the communities we serve. In this sense, it is necessary to highlight the role of the university in the training of current health professionals.”

El passat 11 de desembre, les tres professores del Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu implicades en el projecte eHealth Eurocampus Summer School, Maria Figueras, Ariadna Graells i Esther Insa, van presentar el projecte en una sessió dirigida a infermeres docents i organitzada per primera vegada en col·laboració amb dues comissions: la Comissió d'Innovació i Docència i la Unitat de Recerca de Campus Docent.
La sessió va constar de dues parts, una part explicativa per contextualitzar el projecte i descriure el seu grau d'implementació i un segon en què es va dur a terme un taller amb metodologia de simulació. La sessió va comptar amb la participació de més de vint assistents.
El workshop tenia com a propòsit validar un case study per a poder ser utilitzat en la pròxima Summer School (Barcelona, 2019) com a eina docent. El case study es va desenvolupar entorn el tema de la prescripció tecnològica i perseguia els següents objectius: a) compartir els reptes que planteja el desenvolupament tecnològic per als professionals de la salut, b) destacar algunes de les llacunes existents i generades per la tecnologia en la formació de futurs professionals sanitaris i c) proporcionar eines que permetin millorar les competències transversals dels docents com a membres d'equips interdisciplinaris.
La participació activa dels assistents va posar de manifest la necessitat de gestionar el canvi generat per la tecnologia, tant des de l'àmbit individual com des del col·lectiu infermer i docent, de treballar les habilitats de comunicació i treball en equip en entorns de salut interdisciplinaris, i de regular la prescripció tecnològica per garantir la seguretat tant de pacients com de professionals.

"Em va semblar una dinàmica molt interessant, ja que revela algunes de les mancances i/o preguntes sobre el dia a dia de la professió infermera. Entre d’altres qüestions, ens va permetre qüestionar-nos si estem suficientment preparades per a aplicar les TICs en les cures d’infermeria i si podem treballar paral·lelament amb altres professionals especialitzats en aquest àmbit"
"Gràcies a la visualització del vídeo i la simulació realitzada per les ponents, es va crear un espai de discussió que va reafirmar la necessitat d'un treball multidisciplinari per poder donar resposta a les noves demandes i exigències de la societat".
"Este seminario me ha gustado especialmente porque plantea problemas de la práctica sanitaria a menudo ignorados. Vivimos en una sociedad donde la tecnología forma parte de la vida diaria de enfermeras y pacientes; por lo tanto, es esencial que, como profesionales sanitarios, nos formemos en el abordaje de situaciones como la expuesta y que seamos elementos activos en la creación y el uso de aplicaciones tecnológicas dirigidas a las comunidades que atendemos. En este sentido, cabe destacar el papel de la universidad en la formación de los profesionales de la salud actuales"
Donada la satisfacció dels assistents, esperem poder gaudir de noves sessions que abordin temàtiques que preocupen i afecten l'ensenyament del tenir cura.
