The Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu pursues de dream of taking part in the social transformation of education in health sciences and giving an answer to the real formative issues of the professionals in the sanitary field. Lately, however, social and technological changes have made clear the need to address and work on the gaps that generates the insertion of new technologies in the health field (ethical issues, misgivings, anxieties, inequalities, among others). Facing the identified need, the Simulation Center Sant Agustí has also committed to help on enhancing technology integration in the sanitary scope and does this by setting interdisciplinary teams, constituted by healthcare and technological professionals, before situations where it is needed to cope with a technological gap.

This mission is carried on through the design and implementation of courses, all of them generated from real needs, which employ the simulation methodology. It brings the generation of a learning experience with an impact on the participant that remains through time and reverses the work sphere.

We achieve participation on the social transformation by working on particular projects such as VR4Health, managing learning environments of the Simulation Center Sant Agustí and incorporating all kinds of teaching methodologies and devices that take part in the educational transformation in Catalonia.
