Ediciones San Juan de Dios presents «Anonimat, invisibilitat i reconeixement de les pràctiques cuidadores a Catalunya, les illes Balears i Andorra», a choral book, written by university professors linked to the Associació Febe d'Història d'Infermeria de Llengua Catalana, with the intention of giving visibility to nursing care.
This is the first volume of a collection that reveals the life stories of excellent professionals, male and female nurses who have acted and improved the health and care of the population they have served.
The book presents the stories of practitioners, nurses, midwives and ATS in different biographical narratives. Lives dedicated to taking care of others and entering into commitment, responsibility, quality, but above all in the humanity with which they exercised their profession. These are unknown nurses, "invisible" to the majority of the professional community and citizens, but admired and recognized in their field of action, great people, excellent professionals, to whom these pages give a voice.
The presentation of the book will take place on the day 15 December, at 17:00h, through Zoom, previus inscription, with the participation of the book coordinators: Dra. Anna Ramió Jofre, president of the Associació Febe, Dra. Susana Santos Ruiz, professor of the Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu and member of the Associació Febe and Dra. Carme Torres Penella, member of the Associació Febe. The presentation will be in charge of Dra. Lorena Molina Raya, director of the Ediciones San Juan de Dios and of the Campus Docent Sant Joan de Déu and Dra. Amèlia Guilera Roche, member of the Associació Febe.
